SeaLions Face Must-Win Situations This Weekend Friday Jun 25, 2010
The San Diego SeaLions enter this weekend's doubleheader needing two wins to stay alive in the WPSL Pacific South playoff hunt. The top two teams in the division advance to the WPSL Playoffs. San Diego trails tonight's opponent, second place LAFC Chelsea, by five points and the division leader Ajax America by eight points with four matches remaining.
San Diego has played well of late, but has only managed to garner only two wins during that four-game stretch. The SeaLions have been very technical in their play, but need to find the back of the net more often to begin to earn important wins down the stretch.
The SeaLions hit the road on Sunday, June 27 to play the Claremont Stars. In their last meeting, San Diego beat Claremont 1-0 at home at Cathedral Catholic High.
