SeaLions Head to NorCal for Preseason Exhibition Matches

The SeaLions will travel to Sacramento on Friday for two preseason exhibition matches against two teams in the WPSL's Pac-North Conference.  On Saturday, May 19 at 5:00 PM the SeaLions will face WPSL commissioner Jerry Zanelli's Califonia Storm. The Storm feature several notable players, including former U.S. Women's National Team members Brandi Chastain and Aly Wagner. Joining Wagner and Chastain are Stanford standouts Teresa Noyola and Lindsay Taylor. Noyola was named NCAA Player of the Year and is currently a member of the Mexican Women's National Team. Taylor was named a Stanford All-American player and is now on the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team.

  
Sunday, May 20 the team heads to Fresno City College to take on the Central California Heat. Formerly known as the Clovis Sidekicks, the team made history in 2010 by being the first ever Women's Premier Soccer Club to be assembled in the Central Valley of California. The HEAT is coached by Oliver Germond. Germond has been the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Fresno City College for the past 11 years, where his teams have won seven Central Valley Conference Championships.

The SeaLions kick off Pac-South Conference action on June 2 versus LA Vikings at 12:00 PM at the Home Depot Center. They return home on June 3 for the 2012 Home Opener against Ajax at 4:00 PM.
