The San Diego WFC SeaLions, is a national-caliber women's team that plays in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).

The WPSL is a 50 plus-team independent national league whose main focus is on the development of highly competitive amateur women's soccer teams. It is an affiliate of FIFA, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and holds the distinction of being one of the top leagues in the world. The mission of the league is to provide the highest level of women's soccer while simultaneously providing affordable, quality family entertainment and positive role models for our youth.

Established in 1988, San Diego WFC (www.sealionsoccer.com) enters its 23rd season in 2010 as one of the oldest female soccer clubs in the U.S. The roster consists of former WUSA professionals, veterans of the top college programs in the country, and local high school prospects.

We are a non-profit organization that relies on outside assistance to support our players and teams. Money donated to the SeaLions is used to offset expenses for registration fees, uniforms, trainers, equipment, travel, referee fees, and field fees.

The SeaLions won the 2000 WPSL National Championship, and in 2002 became the developmental squad for the WUSA's San Diego Spirit. In 2006 the SeaLions advanced to the WPSL Final Four, in Salt Lake City.
