A perennial WPSL All-Star, Lu Snyder has been an owner and player for San Diego SeaLions since the WPSL's inception in 1998, and was named 2nd Associate Commissioner in 2006 after serving as the League's Western Region Commissioner from 2003-2005. Snyder graduated from San Diego State University in 1995 with a BS in Business Administration & Marketing.
Playing Experience: She earned 4 Varsity Soccer letters as the Aztecs' starting goalkeeper, ranks 3rd at SDSU in career GAA (1.08), and held the Aztecs' career record for Saves (204) for over 15 years. Her 1990 team allowed the fewest goals in SDSU history (12).
She attended Del Campo H.S. in Fair Oaks, CA, where she was a member of the GU-16 National Finalist team. Her SD WFC / Auto Trader Select squad won the US Women's Open Cup in 1999 and the WPSL Championship in 2000, and she was named WPSL GK of the Year in 1998. In 2006 the San Diego Union-Tribune selected her as its Female Player of the Year.
