SEALIONS CAN CLAIM DIVISION TITLE WITH WIN ON SATURDAY SAN DIEGO WFC SEEKS PLAYOFF BERTH AGAINST WINLESS PARCEIRO ON THE ROAD

The San Diego WFC SeaLions can clinch the Women's Premier Soccer League's San Diego Division championship and return to the playoffs with a win over the San Diego Parceiro Ladies on Saturday afternoon at Madison High School Stadium at 1:00 p.m.

The SeaLions (6-0-0, 18) are in control of their own destiny needing only two points in their final two matches to win the division. A win or draw against the San Diego Surf (5-1-1, 16) in the season finale at home on Saturday, June 29, 7:30 p.m., would also secure the title.

Last weekend, San Diego WFC defeated ASC San Diego 3-1 and LA Galaxy SD 6-1 at home to remain undefeated and move closer to the division title.

Three different players tallied in the win over ASCSD, while on Sunday Elise Britt notched a brace to lead the SeaLions in a chippy affair with the Galaxy. Leading scorer Kiera Bochhino increased her goal streak to four games and five-of-six with markers in each game. Goalkeeper Maria Andreyev (6-0-0, 0.44) earned both victories.

Parceiro enters Saturday's match looking for their first point of the season and a -17 goal differential (7:24). The offense is balanced as no player has scored more than one goal. Berenice Clemente (0-5-0, 3.00) backstops the defense.
