The SeaLions advance to the WPSL Western Regional tournament

Lili Andino scored in the 51st minute to lead the San Diego WFC SeaLions to a 1-0 first-round playoff victory over Albuquerque FC at Cathedral Catholic's Manchester Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The first 50 minutes of the match were uneventful, but when Andino (1-0=2) took a pass from Leigh Ann Brown (0-1=1) and slotted it past the AFC goalkeeper, San Diego WFC had all that they would need. The SeaLions used two goalkeepers to record the clean sheet. Rachel Sadowski, who anchored the defense with her solid effort, was named the Player of the Match.

The SeaLions advance to the second round of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) postseason and will face Northwest Champions and defending WPSL Champions, Seattle Sounders Women. While tournament host, Coastal Conference Champions, FC Golden State, will face Pac-North Champions, California Storm.
